The CSC Sharks Pre-Competitive team welcomes swimmers that are preparing to join the competitive team. 

Classes run no longer than an hour and will teach swimmers the fundamentals to competitive swimming in a fun and exciting learning environment. Swimmers will gain endurance while refining each stroke, learning flip turns and dive starts! Sessions run approx. 8 weeks.

There are currently two Pre-Comp groups offered and a swim assessment is required prior to registration. To schedule an assessment, please contact Coach Addy at cedarswimclub@yahoo.com.

Group Descriptions

Starfish $100/session per swimmer

Monday through Thursday 4:00 to 4:45 PM

Starfish are swimmers ages 6-12. Successful Starfish will be proficient in Freestyle and Backstroke at an entry-level and understand the basics of Breaststroke and Butterfly. Swimmers will learn the fundamentals of competition swimming, team spirit, and have fun!

Entrance Criteria:

1. Safely perform 2x25 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke unassisted.
2. Basic understanding of how Breaststroke and Butterfly are performed.

Equipment: Swim Cap, goggles, water bottle, competition-style suit

Guppies $80/session per swimmer

Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday 4:45 to 5:30 PM

Guppies are swimmers ages 6-12. Successful Guppies will be understand the basics of freestyle and back stroke capable of completing 25 yards of each stroke. Swimmers will learn the fundamentals of these strokes and be introduced flip turns, dives, Breaststroke and Butterfly

1. Safely perform 2x25 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke
